Day One: Drive to Gulu

Pick up from your lodge or hotel by our representative and Drive from Kampala to Gulu for the night to begin the 6 Days Kidepo National Park safari. This is done to cut the long journey short because driving from Kampala straight to Kidepo Valley National Park takes long, and is an exhausting journey.

Driving time: 5-6 hours

Day Two: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park

After breakfast, you will begin the second day of the 6 Days Kidepo National Park safari with the drive through interesting villages (Manyattas) to Kidepo Valley National Park, check in your lodge and have lunch. Drive to Karenga village which is located a few kilometers away from Katurum entry gate to the park. Visiting the Karamojong of Karenga village will enable you to interact with them, learn about their lifestyles and get entertained with their amazing traditional dances.

Driving Time: 3-4 hours

Day Three: Game drives and Kanangorok hot springs.

Go for an early morning game drive in the Narus valley where you will spot herds of buffaloes, Jackson’s hartebeest, giraffes, maneless zebras, reedbucks, lions, leopard as well as cheetahs and the black-backed jackals that are only found in Kidepo Valley National Park. Most animals are found in the Narus valley because it has a permanent water source that attracts the animals. After lunch, you will drive through Kidepo valley to enjoy the views of the beautiful savannah plains surrounded by mountain ranges and the dry Kidepo River valley. You will continue driving up to the magnificent Kanangorok hot springs that are situated on Uganda’s border with Sudan. then end the 3rd day of safari.

Day Four: Hiking to the IK people

After breakfast, drive to the base of Morungole ranges with packed lunch to start your hike to the IK people. You will spend the day with this indigenous tribe also known as the mountain people as you get to know more about their traditions.

Day Five: Kidepo to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After breakfast, drive to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary in Nakasongola through Gulu. This is the only place where you can track rhinos in Uganda. This will make the 6 Days Kidepo National Park safari diverse.

Day Six: Drive to Entebbe International Airport.

On this day, you will embark on your journey back to Entebbe International Airport for your departure.
