Itinerary

Day 1: Entebbe – Kampala

Depart Kampala for Murchison Falls National Park. On your way, check out the Ziwa sanctuary for rhino trekking and lunch. A visit to the top of the falls. Go to the Top of the falls, such a lovely scene for viewing the fall and having picnics. Day 2: Game drive & Launch cruise in Murchison Falls

Set off for an early game view drive on the North of the Nile.  Check out lions, buffaloes, waterbuck, Jackson’s hartebeest, oribi and baboons are some of the animals you will spot. In next to no time, take a launch cruise on the Victoria Nile River. Spot schools of hippos, large crocodiles, small herds of buffalo. Day 3: Murchison Falls- Kibale Forest

Today is dedicated for a long drive to Kibale forest national park with lunch en route in Hoima. Enjoy the drive through the rural setting and countryside homes meeting local communities with great sightseeing and photography. Overnight and meals at Kyaninga lodge (High-end facility), Primate Lodge –Forest cottages (Mid facility) or Chimpanzee guest house (Budget facility) Meal plan (F/B)

Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking and transfer –Bwindi Forest

This day choose to engage in chimpanzee habituation exercise or simply go tracking. The former entails tracking chimpanzees a full day as you get involved in all chimp activities and behaviors. If you prefer simply chimpanzee trekking, you will be able to spend about 4 hours in the forest and later transfer to Bwindi National Park through the picturesque and breathtaking scenery. The drive is reminiscent to one’s experience driving through the verdant countryside in to the home for the endangered Mountain Gorillas. Day 5: Mountain Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi

After breakfast and briefing by park ranger guides, depart with picnic lunch boxes to start a 30 minutes – 8 hours trek to find the Mountain gorillas as you hike up and down slippery slopes with dense mist covered vegetation. This strenuous quest will eventually bring you to the face of one of the most sought after creatures-the mountain gorilla. After a full hour with them while observing and learning their behavior as you take photos. Time permitting in the afternoon ready for a village foot safari to meet and interact with the local communities that live around Bwindi Forest. Day 6: Bwindi – Kampala/Entebbe

After breakfast, depart for Kampala, having lunch en route and a chance to explore the region’s culture at Igongo cultural center in Mbarara before a mini stop for photography at the Equator in Masaka. You will then reach Kampala in the late afternoon to connect to Entebbe for your departure flight depending on schedule. Meal plan H/B.
