Day 1: Kampala-Kibale National Park
After early breakfast, Leave Kampala for a half day drive west via Mityana to Fort Portal through papyrus swamps and thick jungle of the Nile Delta to Kibale Game Park just under the Rwenzori Mountains as you pass through verdant countryside and traditional homesteads and farms. A stopover in Fort Portal for lunch at Gardens restaurant. Thereafter drive at your Leisure to Kibale. Meals and overnight at Kyaninga Lodge (Lodge facility) or Mountains of the Moon (Mid Lodge) or Chimpanzee Guest House (Budget facility). Meal plan: (L, D)
Day 2: Chimpanzee safari Tours Kibale
An early morning visit after your breakfast inside Kibale Forest National Park, reputable of having the greatest variety and the highest concentration of primates in East Africa for chimpanzee safari trekking starting at 8.00 am. A half day search for chimpanzees and other primates including phoestes, Red-Colobuses, Blues, Red-tailed and grey-cheeked Mangabeys swinging through the dense forest and birds, butterflies and many small insects. The guide will provide detailed explanations on not only primates but also on all the forest’s fauna and flora, ensuring that your walk is informative, enjoyable and excellent for viewing bird life and primates in close quarters.
