MURCHISON FALLS

Murchison falls is also Kabalega Falls, and it is also a national park with a variety of animal species. It is the most powerful waterfall that emits large volumes of water about 300 cubic meters per second causing the surrounding to tremble. The falls are between lake Kyoga and Albert on the Victoria Nile in the Northwest of Uganda. It also straddles in the districts of Buliisa, Nwoya, Kiryandongo, and Masindi. SIPI FALLS – VISIT THE WATERFALLS IN UGANDA

Sipi falls is a series of three waterfalls in Eastern Uganda in the district of Kapchorwa northeast of Sironko and Mbale. It lies on the edge of Mt.Elgon

RIPON FALLS
Ripon falls named after George Robinson’s 1st Marquess of Ripon in 1859. The falls is found at the northern end of lake victoria at Jinja. And it was formerly known as the source of the River Nile before the actual source was discovered by John Hanning.


BUJAGALI FALLS HYDROPOWER PLANT
Bujagali falls are formerly known as Bujagali hydropower plant because they were submerged by the Bujagali dam.

OWEN FALLS

Owen falls was a waterfall on the white Nile in Jinja however it was amalgamated with the nearby ripon falls in 1945 to form the Nalubaale hydroelectric power plant.

ITANDA FALLS

Itanda falls are in Jinja along the river Nile in Jinja district. These aren’t so famous in comparison to other waterfalls like Murchison falls. The falls have 6 whitewater rafting features. These are fancied by Rafters and Kayakers. The Itanda Falls were visited by Prince William of The Great Britain.

While at the falls you have an opportunity of seeing Monkeys, Baboons and a variety of birds. Not to mention cultural dances by local cultural performing troupes.

Itanda Falls is about 27 Kilometers from Jinja town and takes about 45 minutes drive along River Nile.

BUSOWOKO FALLS

Busowoko Falls

It is a waterfall in the eastern region of Uganda in Jinja specifically in Bususwa village. Its regarded as one of the last waterfalls on the upper Nile River. Its Located 19 Km from Jinja City after Namavundu Forest. Busowoko Falls became a highlight in 2019 when most young people decided to spend most of their weekends there. The entrance fee to Busowoko is really a friendly one just UGX. 5000.

SEZIBWA FALLS

Sezibwa is a Luganda word meaning “it can’t be blocked”. It’s an important cultural site much respected by the Baganda but also an essential tourist attraction site. It is 32km from Kampala in Mukono district Entrance fee is 10,000 UGX which is equivalent to $3

GRIFFIN FALLS

Griffin falls are in the center of the Mabira forest. Some also know it as Mabira forest camp. Most have always made a visit there because of its zip-lining activity. This is one hell of a fun activity that lightens up the whole place. It is near Wasswa village in Lugazi. Amount paid depends on the activities you want to do at the falls for example nature walking and Bird Viewing. But usually it’s UGX. 10,000.

KARUMA FALLS

Karuma falls is located in the western region in Kiryandongo district. The main sole reason for its construction was to assist cotton farmers to cross to Masindi. Karuma falls is on the victoria Nile. The bridge connects the Nothern parts of Uganda to the central Part.

ARUU FALLS
Aruu falls is in the northern parts of Uganda in Pader district. It’s about 386km from Kampala. It is a famous stopover for tourists heading to Kidepo park. It also has nice rocks at its bottom where you can enjoy the cool breeze.
