9 DAYS JINJA KIDEPO UGANDA SAFARI TOURS, 9 days jinja town for source of the nile, sipi falls, kidepo national park for hiking safari, murchison falls for wildlife safari tour and ziwa Rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking safari tour to Uganda

Day 1:  Drive to the source of the Nile with a stop at Mabira forest.

After breakfast, you will start the 9 Days Jinja  Kidepo Valley National Park safari with a journey to Mabira forest where you will enjoy the day’s activities that include forest walk, super skyway zip-lining, mangabey trekking and birding. Lunch will be taken at Mabira Forest Lodge. Drive to the Jinja in the afternoon for a boat ride to the source of the Nile as you enjoy the sunset on the Nile.

Day 2: Source of the Nile and Nyero Rock Paintings.

The adventure activities for today at the source of the Nile are bungee jumping and white water rafting or kayaking. These high adrenaline activities will give you the best and memorable experience at the Nile River that you cannot get anywhere else. Enjoy a mouthwatering meal besides the Nile and thereafter drive to the phenomenal Nyero paintings near Kumi town. These paintings are believed to have been painted by the Batwa in the Stone Age period. A visit to this UNESCO heritage site will give you views of the three rock shelters and their paintings as well as beautiful photographs.  In the evening, embark on your journey to Sipi Falls where you will spend the night.

Driving Time: 3-4hours

Day 3: Sipi falls.

After breakfast, start your day with hiking to Uganda’s highest waterfalls that consist of three spectacular chains of falls known as the Sipi Falls. This 8km hike will give you take you through interesting villages surrounded with coffee plantations and will also give you beautiful views of the Karamoja plains. Other possible activities you can enjoy at the falls are abseiling, birding as well as tasting Arabica coffee. Drive to Moroto for dinner and an overnight stay.

Driving Time: 4-5 hours

Day 4: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park

Today you will embark on your journey through Karamojong mayattas to Uganda’s remotest national park with unexploited wilderness. Upon arrival, have lunch and check in your lodge and thereafter go to visit typical Karamojong manyattas and experience their ways of living, learn about their cultures and get entertained with their traditional dances.

Day 5: Narus valley and Kanangorok hot springs

Morning Game Drive to the Narus valley to see the early grazers such as see cheetahs, black-backed jackals that are only found in Kidepo as well as buffaloes, giraffes, maneless zebras, reedbucks, lions, leopard, Jackson’s hartebeest. Kidepo is also home to ostriches which you will see during the game drives through the park. After lunch, drive through kidepo valley with a visit to the kidepo river valley and kanangorok hot springs.

Day 6: Hiking to the IK people

After breakfast, drive to the base of Morungole ranges with packed lunch to start your hike to the IK people. Then Drive to Murchison Falls and check in at Murchison River Lodge.

Day 7: Murchison Falls

You will set off for an early game view drive on the North of the Nile. Check out lions, Buffaloes, waterbuck, Jackson’s hartebeest, oribi and baboons are some of the animals you will spot. Then you will take a launch cruise on the Victoria Nile River. Spot schools of hippos, large crocodiles, small herds of buffalo. There is rich birdlife on the papyrus banks, watch out for the shoebill stork, the most sought bird in Africa. Meals and overnight stay at Murchison River Lodge.

Day 8: Murchison – Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After an early breakfast, you will set off at around 8:00 a.m. for Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary a drive that is about 2hours. And check in at Amuka Lodge for meals and an overnight stay.

After a after Lunch, in the afternoon, you will be joined by Rangers as you go trekking the endangered rhinos through the bushes. This is the only place where you can track rhinos in Uganda.

Day 9: Drive to Entebbe International Airport.

On this day you will go for a canoe ride and shoebill trekking through the swamp in the morning After lunch, embark on your journey back to Entebbe International Airport for your departure.
