Chimpanzee Tracking/ Chimpanzee Trekking

Kibale National Park offers you the best Chimpanzee Trekking in Uganda and East Africa as a whole. Kibale National Park has about 1450 chimpanzees are number that makes one feel at ease and assured of seeing the chimpanzees.

In a day, there are two batches of tracking Chimpanzees, in Kibale none of the tourists who have chosen Kibale as a chimpanzee trekking destination missed out on seeing chimpanzees. A group of 8 people is around to track gorillas per tracking Batch.

Chimpanzee habituation can also happen here, there is a very big difference between chimpanzee Habituation and Chimpanzee tracking. Chimpanzee Habituation involves spending time almost an all day with the chimpanzees in their Natural Habitat. This does involve waking up early in the morning and head to the chimpanzee’s habitant to spend a day with them.

Children below the age of 15 years cannot track chimpanzees, Children Friendly park rangers have a variety of activities they interest children to. So, if you come with a child no worries should be raised, your children will be well handled.

Hikes and Nature Walks

Hikes and Nature walks in Kibale National Park are such a fun activity one should undertake, a 12 KM forest walk trail in Kibale Forest that also involves hiking through the savannah, Riverine Forest and Tropical Rain forest.

The forest walk trail in Kibale National Park forest starts at Kanyanchu Visitors center. Before you start hiking make sure you have your lunch packed well, Hiking boots, long-sleeved shirts, If it’s a rainy season don’t forget raincoats at home. The hiking in Kibale national park starts at around 8:00 a.m. and it ends at around 2:00 P.m.

Bird Watching as an activity is so captivating and mind blossoming, and more so if done in a destination with plenty of Birds that is Kibale Forest National Park.
