June-August and December-February offer clearest skies and best visibility. However, March-May and September-November provide dramatic green landscapes and dynamic light, suitable for photography

How to Get There

By Road from Entebbe: Follow the old Entebbe-Kampala road, branching off at Kisubi toward Nakawuka then Kasanje before reaching Mabamba (approximately 1-1.5 hours) By Water from Entebbe: Take a 45-50 minute speedboat ride across Lake Victoria—a scenic adventure that bypasses road travel and offers beautiful lake views . Note that you'll transfer to smaller canoes once you reach the swamp edges. By Road from Kampala: Two main routes exist—either via Kasanje (about 13.5km from Mabamba) or via the Masaka road branching off to Buyege (about 22km from Mabamba)
