Itinerary

Day 1: Kigali – Volcanoes National Park

Early morning pick up by our company tour guide who will transfer you to Kigali for a city tour and visit the local markets, art and craft shops, genocide memorial grounds and later transfer to Volcanoes National Park driving through a beautiful country side and a home to the mountain gorillas for the Rwanda Safari. Overnight in Mountain Gorilla View Lodge (High end), La Palme (Midrange hotel) or Muhabura hotel (Budget facility Meal plan (HB)

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Cultural visit

After an early morning breakfast, you will transfer to the park headquarters together with your packed lunch early enough to be briefed about the code of conduct while with the gorillas. This will be followed by entering the forest in search of the gorillas in the forest which may take 2-6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas in the jungle. Meet and stay with the gorillas for a maximum of one hour. Ascend for a community walk to the Banyarwanda people and enjoy their different performances and also explore more about their unique culture. Overnight in Mountain Gorilla View Lodge (High end), La Palme (Midrange hotel) or Muhabura hotel (Budget facility Meal plan (FB)

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking and Transfer to Lake Kivu

Have an early morning breakfast and then proceed to the park headquarters for another Rwanda Safari to trek golden monkeys along with other primates in the forest. A long the way, you may come across some primates such as the black and white Colobus monkeys, Vervet monkeys, L’hoests monkeys, and some bird species, you will then be transferred to Lake Kivu. Overnight in Kivu Serena hotel (High end),  Paradis Malahide ( midrange) or Discover hostel ( Budget).

Day 4: Transfer to Kigali and Departure

After breakfast, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Kivu to the different islands on the lake and later embark on a transfer to the airport for your departure flight with great memories of the Rwanda Safari.
