Itinerary

Day 1: Kampala – Kibale Forest National Park

Experience a smooth 4-hour journey from Kampala to Kibale via the newly constructed highway, allowing for an early arrival before lunch. Enjoy an afternoon nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, encountering diverse primates and bird species. Stay and dine at your choice of accommodations: Kyaninga Lodge (High-end), Primate Lodge – Forest Cottages (Mid-range), or Chimpanzee Guest House (Budget). Full board meal plan included.

Day 2: Chimpanzee safari tours Trekking Kibale

Begin your day with chimp tracking near Kanyanchu after breakfast. Encounter various primates like golden monkeys, baboons, and colobus monkeys. Later, explore Bigodi Swamp Sanctuary on a guided nature walk, perfect for birdwatching. Spot species like the Great Blue Turaco and Papyrus Gonolek. Day 3: Kibale National Park –Queen Elizabeth Park

After an early breakfast, proceed to Queen Elizabeth N.P.  Carry out a game drive in the Mweya Peninsular that has a magnificent location of the Rwenzori glacial peaks.  Check out Lake Katwe and other small crater lakes. Day 4 : Queen Elizabeth Park

On day 4 of 7 days Kibale chimpanzee safari tour, Dawn game drive in Uganda’s best park, where all the big game can be seen in abundance. Famous for elephant and kob, expect to see some rarer animals like giant forest hog. There are 638 recorded bird species in the park! After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which connects Lakes Edward and George, for large numbers of buffalo and hippo. Day 5: Queen-Bwindi Gorilla Safari Tours

Today’s drive offers stunning scenery through East Africa’s highland rainforests, home to mountain gorillas. Explore attractions like the bat Cave near Maramagambo forest or Kyambura gorge. In Ishasha, search for tree-climbing lions before continuing to Bwindi through tea plantations. This lush forest teems with primates and birds. Enjoy an afternoon foot safari in local communities. Stay and dine at Mahogany Springs/Buhoma Lodge (Lodge), Silverback Lodge/Engagi Gorilla Lodge (Mid Lodge), or Buhoma Community Bandas (Budget). Half board meal plan included.

Day 6: Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

Following breakfast and a briefing by park ranger guides, embark with picnic lunches on a 30-minute to 8-hour trek to encounter Mountain gorillas. Navigate slippery slopes and mist-covered vegetation to reach these elusive creatures. Spend a full hour observing and photographing them. In the afternoon, enjoy a village foot safari to interact with local communities near Bwindi Forest. Stay and dine at Mahogany Springs/Buhoma Lodge (Lodge), Silverback Lodge/Engagi Gorilla Lodge (Mid Lodge), or Buhoma Community Bandas (Budget). Full board meal plan included.

Day 7: Bwindi – Kampala/Entebbe

Return to Kampala, then Entebbe, with lunch enroute with a stopover at Igongo cultural center to explore the lifestyle of the Ankole and Bahima, thereafter proceed at the Equator Uganda before your evening departures home. Meal plan: (B, L)
