Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Kigali Airport

On arrival at Kigali International Airport in Rwanda, you will be received by one of our tour guide who will transfer you to the hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you will do a city tour for being introduced about the history and culture of this country of thousand hills and visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre. Day 2: Bird watching at Nyabarongo and Nyarutarama

We get up early for birds watching in the nyabarongo after have a city tour before having another bird watching activity in the afternoon at Nyarutarama artificial lake.

Day 3: Bird watching Akagera National Park

After breakfast, travel to Eastern part of Rwanda to visit the Akagera National Park. Arriving you will drive through the mixture of acacia and papyrus  and have a chance to spot birds including Red-faced Barbet, Bennett’s Woodpecker, Papyrus Gonolek, White-headed, Black and familiar Chats, Carruther’s and Tabora Cisticolas, White-winged and Broad-tailed Warblers and Miombo Wren-Warblers. In the afternoon you will go for a boat ride on Lake Ihema for more bird watching and you might spot various water animals like the hippos and crocodiles. Day 4: Game drive in the Akagera National Park and back to Kigali

The morning after breakfast leave Akagera Game Lodge for game drive safari, you will make a tour in a landscape of savannah where you will see various wild animals (leopards, elephants, buffalo, and giraffe) and other animals such as zebras and various types of antelope, Further, be transferred back to Kigali. Day 5: Bugesera and departure

After breakfast, we head to Bugesera valley for bird watching after visit the genocide memorial site of Ntarama and Nyamata and in the afternoon we will return to Kigali. Basing on the time of your flight, we enjoy a city tour prior to your departure flight. Meal plan (HB) End of Safari
