Itinerary

Day 1: Kampala – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Depart from Kampala at 7:00 am and head towards South western Uganda. A brief stop at the Equator allows time for photographs and refreshments as well as a visit to the craft shops. The journey affords views from the vehicle of the long horned Ankole cattle, in Mbarara, the rolling hills, terraced landscapes and the beautiful panorama of Kabale. We have a lunch break en route in Mbarara with an option of visiting the Igongo cultural center to experience the Ankole culture. Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable park and arrive late evening. Overnight and dinner at mahogany Springs/Buhoma Lodge (Lodge facility) or Silverback Lodge/Engagi Gorilla Lodge (Mid Lodge facility) or Buhoma Community Bandas (budget facility) Meal plan (HB)

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

After breakfast and briefing by park ranger guides, depart with picnic lunch boxes to start a 30 minutes – 8 hours trek to find the Mountain gorillas as you hike up and down slippery slopes with dense mist covered vegetation. This strenuous quest will eventually bring you to the face of one of the most sought after creatures-the mountain gorilla. After a full hour with them while observing and learning their behavior as you take photos. Time permitting in the afternoon ready for a village foot safari to meet and interact with the local communities that live around Bwindi Forest. Day 3: Bwindi – Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast drive via Ishasha – the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth Game park in quest for the rare tree climbing lions whilst not avoiding sights of antelopes like kobs, gazelles, and bushbucks among others. Arrive for lunch at Mweya lodge and at in the afternoon a boat will be ready to set off for a 2 hours boat cruise along the Kazinga channel connecting lakes George and Edward which will reward you with close-range views of crocodiles, hippos, buffalos, elephants and a variety of birds like pelicans, African skimmer, African fish eagle and the shoebill if lucky. Overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge/Mazike Lodge (Lodge facility) or Enganzi lodge (Mid range facility) or Simba Safari Camp (Budget facility) Meal plan (FB)

Day 4: Safari Game Drive – Transfer to Kampala

This morning, ready for a game drive following the Kasenyi trail in search for lions and other predators as well as a variety of game including topis, giraffes, kobs, warthogs, buffalos among the park’s 100 mammal species. Later, before noon, transfer back to Kampala in Uganda arriving in the evening to connect to Entebbe for your departure flight. Meal plan (HB)
