Itinerary

Day 1: Kampala- Murchison Falls National Park

DAY 1

Depart Kampala for Murchison Falls National Park. On your way, check out the Ziwa sanctuary for rhino trekking and lunch. A visit to the top of the falls. Go to the Top of the falls, such a lovely scene for viewing the fall and having picnics. Day 2: Game drive & Launch cruise Murchison Falls

Set off for an early game view drive on the North of the Nile.  Check out lions, buffaloes, waterbuck, Jackson’s hartebeest, oribi and baboons are some of the animals you will spot. In next to no time, take a launch cruise on the Victoria Nile River. Spot schools of hippos, large crocodiles, small herds of buffalo. Day 3: Murchison Falls – Kibale National Park

Head off to Kibale National Park. Enjoy this scenic ride to Kibale. Kibale national park has the highest concentration of primates in East Africa including chimps, black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys and baboons. Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking Kibale

Day starts with chimp tracking near Kanyanchu. Encounter golden monkeys, baboons, colobus monkeys. Guided nature walk to Bigodi swamp for birdwatching. Stay at Kyaninga Lodge, Primate Lodge, or Chimpanzee Guest House. (F/B

Day 5: Kibale – Queen Elizabeth National Park

After an early breakfast, proceed to Queen Elizabeth N.P.  Carry out a game drive in the Mweya Peninsular that has a magnificent location of the Rwenzori glacial peaks.  Check out Lake Katwe and other small crater lakes. Overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge/Mazike Lodge (Lodge facility) or Enganzi lodge (Mid range facility) or Simba Safari Camp (Budget facility) Meal plan (F/B)

Day 6: Game drive & Launch cruise

Start your day with a game drive in Kasenyi plains spotting black and white Colobus, Uganda Kob, and more. Enjoy a 2-3 hr drive along Lake Edward, encountering hippos, crocodiles, and diverse bird species. End your day with a cozy stay at Mweya Safari Lodge/Mazike Lodge, Enganzi Lodge, or Simba Safari Camp. (F/B)

Day 7: Queen Elizabeth – Bwindi

After breakfast, embark on a thrilling game drive in Ishasha plains, renowned for its tree-climbing lions. Then, head straight to Bwindi forest, the epicenter of gorilla tourism. Discover the awe-inspiring mountain gorillas, unique to Uganda, Rwanda, and Congo. Spend the night at Mahogany Springs/Buhoma Lodge, Silverback Lodge/Engagi Gorilla Lodge, or Buhoma Community Bandas. Day 8: Mountain Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi

After breakfast and briefing by park ranger guides, depart with picnic lunch boxes to start a 30 minutes – 8 hours trek to find the Mountain gorillas as you hike up and down slippery slopes with dense mist covered vegetation. This strenuous quest will eventually bring you to the face of one of the most sought after creatures-the mountain gorilla. After a full hour with them while observing and learning their behavior as you take photos. Time permitting in the afternoon ready for a village foot safari to meet and interact with the local communities that live around Bwindi Forest. Day 9: Bwindi -Lake Mburo

After breakfast, drive Lake Mburo National park for a game drive. Make a stopover at Igongo Cultural village to explore and learn the Bahima and Ankole culture. This is the place where the future meets the past. This park is an extension of the Tanzanian Plains. Lake Mburo National park is renowned for zebras, impalas, buffaloes, hippos, topi and elands including the rare shoebill, crested crane, pelicans, fish eagle, heron and many water birds. Evening boat cruise amidst the Hippos is amazing. Arrive in time for the evening boat on Lake Mburo. Dinner and Overnight at Mihingo Safari Lodge (high end), Lake Mburo Safari Lodge (Mid lodge) or Eagles Nest Lake Mburo (Budget facility) Meal plan (FB)

Day 10: Mburo-Entebbe Departure

After early breakfast, drive back to Entebbe with enroute game drive. You may be lucky and spot big herds of Zebra, Impala, Eland, Warthogs, buffalo and other savannah species. For birders, this is one of the best place to find African Fin foot, Papyrus, Bush Shrike, etc. Continue your drive with a stopover at the Equator crossing with your lunch enroute before you drive to back to Entebbe to catch up your flight back home at 13:35.
